Wh...I am so sorry you all had to go through this.
What memories this brings for me! You may or may not remember the Eucalyptus explosion we had years ago, before we moved from Seattle to Panther Lake. Your story sounds much like ours, only we had finished pine floors (not hardly finished after the spill!) to deal with along with all the metal/laminated wood shelving and indoor air quality. The big lesson for the future I learned back then was to fill all bottles, especially glass, to just barely above the shoulder - never up close to or into the neck! The word "expansion" took on a whole different meaning.
When we built the warehouse here, we installed industrial wall fans that can be either intake or exhaust, located on south and north sides (one in kitchen and one in pouring/eo storage room, separated by an open hallway). When one draws in and the other out, we can clear and completely replace inside air in the entire area in a matter of 30-45 minutes or so. You might want to look into these instead of the overhead exhaust that isn't functioning so well. This might work better, but would depend on the overall air flow that could be created.
Glad to hear you are all recovering.Marcia_Elstonhttp://www.wingedseed.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070790538272960248.post-41595090623161924932010-08-05T15:48:51.206-05:002010-08-05T15:48:51.206-05:00Interesting!Interesting!jhonybeatrizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05656682774808178975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070790538272960248.post-15377116991742258952010-08-03T10:50:48.902-05:002010-08-03T10:50:48.902-05:00Wow! I'm sorry for your experience and am glad things are better now. Thank you for sharing this information; it is educational on many levels, especially about the kitty litter and baking soda actually cleaning the air.

Best, JeannineAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
